This GCE report examines the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education across the Global South, placing youth perspectives at the centre, and complemented by insights from teachers and civil society leaders. The findings inform a strategic roadmap for GCE on Education Technology (EdTech) and AI governance grounded in a rights-based, equity-focused approach.
The research reveals a broad consensus: while AI holds significant potential to enhance learning, its current trajectory risks deepening inequalities and undermining the core principles of public education unless guided by strong, inclusive public policy.
