GCE is a global civil society movement whose members work together to defend the right to free, inclusive, quality public education and lifelong learning for all.
Our diverse membership brings together national education coalitions, regional networks, international NGOs, teachers’ unions, youth and student groups, parents’ associations, women’s rights and disability organisations, among many others, in approximately 100 countries worldwide.
Through this broad base, members connect local realities to national, regional and global policy spaces, bringing grassroots voices to the forefront and driving joint advocacy, campaigning and knowledge sharing on the most urgent education issues of our time.
